Brown Spots
& Melasma
Amazing results and staff, thank you.
The removal of brown spots, sun damage, and melasma is easier now with new laser technologies.

I think the most important thing with addressing brown spots is to determine where the brown spot is at within the skin. So, there’s multiple layers of the skin, and when you determine if it’s closer to the surface or if it’s deeper into this skin, most of us have certain superficial or very surface oriented sun damage or brown spots, and those are relatively straightforward and simple to remove. We have a number of different laser technologies available to us in our patients that we use, including IPL photo facials and laser 532 and that also really does a nice job at just removing this superficial some damage. Now for deeper pigmentation such as melasma, we have to use a different type of laser because it doesn’t respond to the more superficial treatments and we can also get a very nice, consistent result with that as well.
Melasma, or sun damage, is responsible for a large variety of pigmentation problems of the skin. The procedures to correct melasma and for sun spot removal can vary for each patient. We will work with you to find the best treatment option for removing brown spots and rejuvenating your skin.
Laser Brown Spot Removal Treatment
Brown spot removal treatments may include Revlite®, PhotoGenesis (IPL), or the SmartXide DOT® CO2 lasers. Like all of our services, the treatments are designed with the latest technology for maximum results and minimal invasiveness.
RevLight® laser delivers high-speed waves of energy that penetrate the skin at incredible speeds, minimizing the amount of heat and pain in each procedure. RevLight® delivers laser light pulses at a nanosecond frequency, stimulating collagen growth and delivering both a photo-acoustic and photo-thermal effect for optimal results. It is safe and effective and requires little to no recovery time.

PhotoGenesis (IPL) is a broadband light therapy that targets brown spots close to the surface of the skin commonly caused by excessive sun exposure. Results are typically achieved in 1-2 treatments while full correction can occur at 3-5 treatments.
Chemical Peels for Brown Spot Removal
Chemical peels have incredible regenerating properties; they strip away damage and allow the skin to grow back healthier and more vibrant. All chemical peels vary in intensity and strength. The strength of the peels depends on the chemical ingredients and the level of rejuvenation you need.
The Illuminize Peel is best for first time chemical peel patients looking for a gentler option. The Illuminize uses a combination of skin clearing acidic agents to increase your skin’s glow and radiance.
The Vitalize Peel is our most popular chemical peel product. It combats normal environmental damage, and it can be customized to treat irregular pigmentation, photodamage, and melasma.
The Rejuvenize Peel goes a step further, penetrating deeper to exfoliate the top layers of the most damaged skin. Because it can heal even acne scarring, some recovery time may be necessary.
Skilled in determining the most effective treatment for various skin tones and types, we will work with you to choose the best melasma treatment for your needs. To combat brown spots and other sun damage, contact us to set up an appointment.
